A bigger variety of our huge boomerangs - Giant 88 cm
The giant models were created out of curiosity. The desire to experiment with large boomerangs grew in me over time. The questions arose: how such a big boomerang will behave during the flight, with what size and weight there is enough strength to throw so that it returns. In this way, two Giant models were created - 72 cm and 88 cm.
Because of its size, this boomerang model is a great item to decorate. Large surfaces allow you to paint entire images. Most often we decorate these boomerangs in accordance with the traditional Australian Aboriginal symbolism, or mix styles and techniques of decorating.
This way, the boomerang becomes a beautiful, hand-painted decoration for the home or office. At the same time it is a great, original gift.
The main subject of the drawing on this boomerang are women sitting by the fire and roasting potatoes. According to Aboriginal symbolism, the circle in the central part means a bonfire. Four women are sitting around it - these are the "croissants" shapes around the fire. The circles painted on the wings together with the winding, interwoven lines symbolize potatoes.
This is not about the well-known potatoes that we make French fries and chips from. These are sweet potatoes from Australia, an Aboriginal delicacy known as "kulyu" or under the other name "youlk". They are similar to sweet potatoes (Ipomoea batatas), but much smaller than them. They can be eaten raw, baked, fried, or cooked. When they are heavily parched and caramelized, they have a sweet taste similar to nashi pear.
Giant boomerangs can be made to individual order, painted according to your wishes as to the theme, colors or form of decoration, also with occasional inscriptions etc. However, keep in mind that this service may take a while, therefore, I ask for inquiries to determine the costs and deadlines.
As it was mentioned in the description at the beginning - these boomerangs were created as returning ones, however due to their weight and size they are extremely dangerous in flight. I skip the fact that not everyone is physically able to throw them so that they return.
I recommend only as decorative boomerangs!
Approximate range (depends only on the throwing force) 10-40 meters.
Boomerang dimensions: 88x40 cm. 10mm birch plywood.
